Priority Admissions
Complete the steps below to secure your child’s priority consideration for admission to The Imago School.
2027-2028 PRIORITY ADMISSIONS TIMELINE
Applications received after February 1, 2027 are reviewed on a rolling basis through spring and early summer. The timeline below applies to our Priority Admissions Process, which we strongly encourage all applicants to follow in order to receive priority consideration for admission and financial aid.
September 1, 2026: Inquire, Schedule a Tour, Read Imago School Handbook
Complete the inquiry form available on our website, and our Director of Admissions, Marta Burbeck, will be in touch to schedule a tour.
Following your tour, please take time to read The Imago School Handbook before beginning your application. As part of the application process, you will be asked to certify that you have read and understood its contents.
October 1, 2026: Begin filling out Application for 2027-2028
Request an application by contacting our Director of Admissions, Marta Burbeck, to begin the process. Once your request has been received, you will be granted access to the full application in FACTS. After submitting your application, Mrs. Burbeck will be in touch to schedule parent and student interviews with our Headmistress.
Schedule Student Shadow Day
After you have toured the school and / or submitted your application, we will be in touch to arrange your student’s required shadow day. During this visit, applicants attend classes, meet teachers, and experience daily life at Imago.
December 1, 2026: Schedule Academic Testing and Submit Teacher Recommendations
Mrs. Burbeck will be in touch to schedule academic testing during this time. By this stage of the process, we also require that at least one teacher recommendation letter be submitted to the Office. Homeschooled students may submit a recommendation from a co-op leader, Sunday school teacher, or another adult who oversees an activity in which the student regularly participates.
January 1, 2027: Financial Aid Applications Open
Financial aid is supported through Imago’s Annual Benefit Dinner. Please visit our website to access the application link for FACTS Grant & Aid.
Financial aid is limited and is primarily awarded during the priority application season. Applicants are strongly encouraged to apply by the deadline to ensure full consideration for available aid.
January 1, 2027: Connect with Admissions
Review your Priority Admissions Checklist to confirm that all required materials have been submitted, or are on track to be completed, before the priority deadline. Families may schedule a phone call with the Director of Admissions, Marta Burbeck for guidance.
February 1, 2027: Priority Application Deadline
Check that you have submitted all required materials:
- Online Application
- Educational support documentation (IEP or 504 Plan), if applicable
- Official Transcript
- Teacher Recommendations, if applicable
February 1, 2027: Financial Aid Application Deadline
Financial Aid applications, if applicable, are due at this time.
March 8, 2027: Priority Application Decisions Sent
Families who submitted an application on or before February 1 will receive their admission decision. Financial Aid decisions will also be shared with accepted families at this time.
March 21, 2027: Priority Application Offers Accepted or Declined
Families who receive an offer of admission are asked to accept or decline their offer by March 21. This allows us to offer remaining spaces to students on the waitlist and to applicants who apply after the priority deadline. Upon acceptance, we will connect with you regarding the school’s financial policies and guide you through completing your enrollment packet.
March 31, 2027: Enrollment Packets Due for Accepted Students
Families who accept an offer of admission should submit their enrollment packets by March 31. This step includes uploading your student’s most recent health form, immunization records or exemption letter, and finalizing your financial agreement with the school. Once completed, the admissions process is finalized. We will be in touch before the start of the school year regarding onboarding items such as permissions, forms, and school supplies.
The Imago School is a classical school for grades Pre-Kindergarten through 10th and growing, deeply rooted in the Christian Tradition of classical education. The Imago School is located in Maynard, Massachusetts, and was founded in 1980.
