Financial Aid
It is our fundraising and admissions goal that no family be excluded from an Imago education for financial reasons. Private education is commonly thought to be the exclusive domain of the wealthy. As part of its founding philosophy and mission, The Imago School remains committed to providing need-based financial aid to qualifying families.
Our financial aid program assists approximately 25% of our families. Financial aid awards are made based on a family’s demonstrated need and the availability of funds.
Imago has contracted Financial Aid for School Tuition (FAST), an independent agency to evaluate financial assistance requests. Applications should be submitted online. Once processed, the Board will review all completed applications and award Scholarship money as they are able. Financial assistance applications may be completed at any time.
Hardship Appeals
We recognize that unexpected life events sometimes place families in financial hardship. If this situation occurs, the Board of Directors is eager to work with families on a payment plan that will keep them in good financial standing with the school. In most cases the board will require an application for financial aid to be completed as a first step towards developing a plan. Please reach out before you are behind in tuition.
Remote Learning
Nothing can replace the one-on-one contact of a teacher with a student. The value of an Imago education, particularly for PreK/K and Grade 1, is obviously diminished by remote learning. However, The Imago School is committed to sustaining full compensation of our teachers whether teaching in person or remotely. Bearing both of these facts in mind, if we are required to pivot to a remote learning model, reduced tuition will be available upon request for these grades on a monthly basis as follows.
Pre K and K tuition may be reduced by up to one half.
Grade 1 tuition may be reduced by up to one-third.
Related hardship appeals will also be considered by the board.
Outstanding Balance
Outstanding balances from previous years must be paid in full by the start of the school year in order for a student to remain enrolled. In some cases a written plan to bring the account into good financial standing can be worked up with the Board of Directors.
